Mary and Cole. What a dream team! When the Reagan Events team approached me in the winter of 2018 saying she had a fun “Italian Villa” style wedding at The Cotton Dock for the summer, I didn’t think twice. I immediately knew that this wedding called for potted herbs, a romantic “growing floral wall” over the fire place, and local plants married with simple whites. The result was perfection. The bouquets and centerpieces were gushing with hellebore, white roses, nigella, and local plants, and the growing floral wall over the fireplace quickly became an iconic installation (for us in our own little design world). Designed to look as if it grew that way, over time, across the old bones of the historic Cotton Dock, the elaeagnus and blooms crept up to the rafters. This was a favorite feature of Mary and Cole’s, and of course mine as well. I love this couple, and the camera loves them, and this day exuded rainy day, summertime joy. Absolute joy.
