Venue: Boone Hall Plantation & Cotton Dock
February 1, 2020 ushered in a cold, wintry day. Chilly winds rushed off the harbor just off the back of the Cotton Dock, but a fire blazed inside to create a warm and inviting ambiance. Team Vero filled the old barn with florals high and low. Candlelight abounded. Black eye anemones, amaryllis, dried foliage, and local greens dripped from the ceilings, mantle and adorned the tables. Natalie Knox, the planner extraordinaire behind this cool, winter vision, brought in luxe velvet linens and Lowcountry inspired furniture to create a unique juxtaposition. The ceremony took place under the live oaks, which were fresh with resurrection fern after a rain the night before. A fire pit was set up on the dock, and the festive swings flanking it were the hot spot of the reception. Hudson and Jason cut a gold flecked cake and danced with friends and family, never feeling the least bit cold. The room was filled with love, warming every inch.
