About the Designer
Megan Chandler Lee, creator of Vero Designs, made a career in event design out of her love for tailored design, entertaining, and her passion for collaborating with clients. At a young age, she was fascinated by all the different components that go into creating an event. From florals to linen to paper goods to final execution, she has always loved watching the process of bringing one client’s vision to reality.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina and raised in Beaufort, South Carolina, Megan’s appreciation for Southern hospitality was rooted early in life. Birthdays, even at six, meant pulling out the silver.
Megan attended Clemson University where she studied English. Upon graduation, Megan began working in publishing with a small newspaper. There she wore many hats, including planning events for the publication. It was then that she realized she needed a career where she could engage with people on a more personal basis. She left publishing to start a career in event planning and has since worked in both Charleston and Houston.
After four years planning and designing with a Charleston based firm, Megan was approached by a long-standing Houston, Texas landscape design firm to launch a floral and events division of their company. She took a chance, moved to Texas, and successfully joined hands in branding the firm as a design force in the Houston wedding industry. After almost three years in Houston, Megan decided to pull the knowledge she’d gleaned from her experiences in Texas and South Carolina to launch her own company. In 2018, Megan created Vero Designs bringing her life back to the place it started: The Georgia and South Carolina Lowcountry. With experience as both a planner and a designer, Megan takes a creative, yet logistical approach to all of her projects. This allows her to execute any event flawlessly, with both the precision and uniqueness that each project requires. Vero is a process based, creativity fueled design firm. Helmed by Megan, but inspired by the team and the clients, Vero recognizes weddings and occasions as more than just business, but a way of life.
